Rev Jacob Ang (Senior Pastor)

“I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24)

Rev Jacob Ang was brought into TPBC by his Junior College friend in end 1990. He came to Christ during his secondary school days with St Andrew’s Secondary School. In his younger days in TPBC, he was taught the basics of the Bible and was discipled one-to-one. He joined the Students’ Fellowship as a committee member in 1994 and has since been serving and running together with the youth.

He was married in January 2006 and entered Singapore Bible College (SBC) in July 2006. In 2011, he graduated with a Master in Divinity (Pastoral Ministry) from SBC, and completed his Masters of Theology (in Preaching) at the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Boston, Massachusetts) in 2018. Together with his wife, Nancy, they have four children.

Rev Jacob is also the chaplain of 69J Singapore Boys’ Brigade Company with Xinghua Primary School. Together with the officers and helpers, they are committed to running the weekly parades every Tuesday morning.


Rev Daniel Fan (Missions)

“I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24)

Rev Daniel Fan accepted Christ in 1974 and began attending services at TPBC. He graduated from Singapore Polytechnic in 1976 with a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. After the completion of his National Service in 1979, he joined Singapore Telecoms as a Technical Officer.

In 1984, Daniel entered Singapore Bible College where he completed a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1988. Together with April, whom he married in 1990, they went to Philippines as missionaries from 1994 to 1997. Daniel and April have a daughter named Esther (born in 1997).

Rev Daniel has completed his Master in Christian Studies at Regent College, Canada in 2001. He was the Executive Pastor of TPBC from 2004 to 2009. He became the Senior Pastor in July 2009.


Pst Robert Huynh (Young People’s Ministry)

Pst Robert accepted Christ in 1992 and was baptised in 1998 at Sydwest Asian Christian Church in Sydney, Australia. He graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, with a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering in 2004, and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Divinity from Morling College, Sydney, in 2014.

Before arriving in Singapore in mid 2013 with Connie, Pst Robert worked in IT industry, specialising in areas of networking and IT administration, and has served in the youth fellowship and worship ministry in his home church. Since joining TPBC in 2013, Pst Robert has been involved in the Young Adults Ministry (now the Young People’s Ministry) and has joined TPBC as a pastoral staff since October 2017. He is presently pursuing a Masters in Divinity with the Morling College, Sydney.


Pst Randy Khoo (Pastoral Counselling & Family Life)

“I came to give life—life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10b, NCV)

Above is one verse that Pst Randy takes seriously. Jesus Christ has come to give us life. Life in all its fullness. Randy wants take this promise seriously and live life to the full. So he heeded the call to go to Singapore Bible College in 2018 to study counselling for 2 years. During the intensive two years, he experienced the counsel from the Wonderful Counsellor (Isa 9:6) in a clearer and dearer way.

Pst Randy was a teacher for most part of his 2 decades of working life. He was also a certified trainer and developer of WSG (used to be WSQ) courses for two years.

He started attending The People’s Bible Church (was known as Toa Payoh Bible Church back then) after his kindergarten teacher from Toa Payoh Bible Church Kindergarten asked him to go to church. The years of discipleship in TPBC has shaped him and he believes strongly that discipleship is the foundation of the church.

He completed the Master of Arts in Counselling at Singapore Bible College in 2020. He is married to Liang Liang (whom he still regards as his girlfriend) for more than 2 decades. They have 3 children, one young adult and two teens.


Quek Lee Choo (Children’s Minister)

Lee Choo accepted Christ in 1998 and was baptised in TPBC in 2012. She has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (jointly awarded by SIM and University of Melbourne in 2001) and a Diploma in Business Administration (awarded by PSB in 2005).

With 14 years of experience in the Early Childhood industry and 7 years of experience serving in TPBC Sunday School, Lee Choo joined TPBC as the Children’s Minister in March 2017. She is also the chaplain of the 41st Girls Brigade company, and works closely with the volunteers, school teachers and helpers to conduct parades and activities for the Girls’ Brigade CCA of Xinghua Primary School.

Lee Choo is presently taking a year-long course on “Relational Children’s Ministry”, offered by Petra Institute in collaboration with Baptist Theological Seminary.


Yvonne Poh (Women’s Ministry – Alabaster Jar Ministry)

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” (Romans 11:26)

Ms Yvonne Poh accepted Christ in 1995 and began attending services at TPBC. She was married to the late Rev Choy Wing Yut and has a daughter names Belicia Choy. Yvonne graduated from Singapore Bible College, where she completed a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1997. She served as a chaplain at Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School from 2002 to 2007, after which she served at Singapore Bible College from 2008 until the present. As the Registrar (part-time) of Singapore Bible College, she works closely with the dean, faculty, and students, seeking to facilitate the academic experience of students enrolled in the College from the time of registration to graduation.

She desires to serve in the place with HIs presence, His passion, His power, His divine appointment, and His divine assignment given to her, who is uniquely created with strengths and weaknesses for his glory.
